The History of Mama Louisa's

HOME COOKING THE ITALIAN WAY
~WE MAKE OUR OWN PASTA~

Since 1956, Mama Louisa’s Italian Restaurant has been serving consistently good traditional, homemade Italian food. Fresh pasta and aged sauces are only the beginning. Here at Mama Louisa’s we use only the finest ingredients available. It all started in 1956 when the restaurant was built on a dirt road leading to Davis Monthan Air Force Base by the Casadei family. Since 1973, it has been owned and operated by the Elefante family.

On the walls are murals from the 1950’s painted by Tucson artist Jose de la Flora and in the 1970’s a new one was added by local artist Paul Sheldon.

Our homemade linguini and fettuccini are made every day. So much pasta is needed that our pasta machine has a Black and Decker Drill with a foot petal added to it so we can keep up with the demand for our pasta. Lasagna, Manicotti and Canneloni pasta are also made on premise.

If you are arriving for lunch cruise our lunch menu or take a look at our all-you-can eat soup salad and pasta bar. Select from our 6 different pastas and sauces and watch while our pasta chef prepares your meal to order in our dining room.

At dinner time our all you-can-eat soup and salad bar can be added to your to meal for an additional cost.
